MotherX was born out of necessity—real, on-set necessity.
After 25 years as a celebrity and commercial makeup artist, I learned quickly that efficiency is everything. When you’re responsible for actors, musicians, and athletes under intense time pressure, there’s no room for clutter or products that don’t perform.

I used to carry 8–15 products in my set bag just to create one look. Powders were the industry norm, but they left skin looking dry, flat, and prematurely aged—especially under high-resolution cameras. And powders never allowed for the kind of on-the-spot mixology that real artistry requires. Every face needed something slightly different, and powders simply couldn’t adapt.

Creams, though—creams were transformative.

They let me blend, mix, warm up, sheer out, and customize shades in seconds. With creams, I could create a fresh, healthy, skin-like glow that looked alive both on camera and in person. That’s when I began curating my own streamlined set of cream essentials—just a handful of carefully chosen tones that brought instant life, warmth, and radiance to every face that sat in my chair.

These became my signature shades, the ones I reached for day after day—the colors that made skin look awake, dimensional, and naturally luminous.

Those colors became my secret weapon.
Now, they’re the heart of MotherX.

But performance wasn’t enough.
